Skeletons
Every company has skeletons. These are usually kept tightly locked in the closet. They're the unspoken, hidden agendas that most top managers have. The problem is, they haunt the organization, either limiting action, or compelling action, often inappropriately.
Common skeletons have to do with real or imagined inadequacies. Skeleton owners think like this:
- I never graduated from my MBA course.
- I haven't a clue how to market our line of digital haymakers.
- I simply can't understand networking.
- Other skeletons have to do with business operations.
- I have to pay my family back half a million dollars.
- I lied to head office about our sales projections.
- Even the CFO says our stock is seriously overvalued.
- We know we have a product defect, but we'll wait to see the effects in the field.
- My spiritual beliefs prevent me from intervening in this situation.
- That clique of three VPs is really running things around here.
Pragmos will work with you to open the closet, see how the skeleton is affecting your business, and help you decide what to do with it.
